None! Simply by becoming a Bankinter customer you can open a Smart Digital Account and unlock all the benefits.

To earn interest of up to 2.50% AER during the first year after opening the account, you need to meet two very simple conditions:

• Bring your salary and activate Bizum.

"Salary" refers to salary/pension/unemployment benefit or direct debit of self-employed contributions.

On the 5th of each month or the following business day, we'll review whether the bonus requirements for the previous calendar month have been met in order to assign the corresponding interest payment in the next settlement.

The Smart Digital Account is a current account with two buckets that yield interest from 0% AER to 2% AER if you meet the conditions.

• For your everyday banking: the first €5,000 at 0% NIR.
• For your savings: with no limit on the deposit amount and yielding 1.98% NIR on balances up to €50,000 for the first 3 months, and then 1.49% NIR if you don't meet the conditions. If you do meet them, you'll get 1.98% NIR for up to one year from the date you open the account.

The interest is paid into the account on a monthly basis. This means that you'll get the applicable interest every month.

The way the account works is very simple. Here are two examples:

• What happens if I deposit €60,000 when opening the Digital Smart Account?
  
  

  At the end of the day, the €60,000 will be divided between the two buckets:

  - The first €5,000 at 0% NIR.

  - The other €55,000 will be deposited in the second bucket and will yield 1.98% NIR on balances up to €50,000, subject to conditions, for up to one year from the time the account is opened.

• What if I need to transfer €5,000 and I have €1,500 in the first bucket and €55,000 in the second one?
  
  

  You can make the transfer through your app or online without any problem. The system will first transfer the money from the bucket that doesn't earn interest (€1,500) and then transfer the rest (€3,500) from the second bucket. So you will still have €51,500 in the second bucket, of which €50,000 will continue to earn interest. This way we maximise your interest-bearing savings.

The Smart Digital Account pays interest on a monthly basis. Every month, on the same date you opened your account, we'll deposit the amount you have earned (depending on the average balance in the second bucket of the account over the past month and your compliance with the requirements). For example, if you opened your account on 10 June 2025, the interest earned will appear in your account on the 10th of every month.

Yes, your money will always be available. You can withdraw or transfer any amount with complete flexibility and as many times as you like. Without penalty and optimising the savings that earn you interest in the second pocket up to €50,000.

To start opening your new account online, you'll need the following:

• Be over 18 years of age.
• Your valid national ID card
• A Spanish mobile phone number (+34)
• A mobile device with a camera (for video identification)

Yes, there can be multiple account holders:

• To add a second account holder to your account, you can invite another person to become a co-owner during the registration process. Please note that both account holders must digitally sign the contract in order to open the account.

When you open your Digital Smart Account you will have access to our Switch to Bankinter service. With this service, the change will be easy, fast and 100% digital. You can either move the entire account over or selected direct debits, all as part of the same process and with no paperwork involved. We will guide you step-by-step, and of course, we will not charge you a fee.

The Digital Smart Account includes a debit card with no issuance or maintenance fees and access to more than 17,000 national ATMs for free cash withdrawals from your debit account. In addition, we offer virtual cards so you can shop safely online.
